Who am I?

I am Luc "BeastBound" Overmeire, 27 years old, Dutch.
But now to the interesting stuff; I want to help people! (And I want to be the best at it)
Currently I am active as a performance and esports coach currently specializing within Rocket League.

So what do I do?

This page outlines my approach to competitive coaching for individuals and teams.

My Background


My coaching experience spans physical sports, medical fields, and esports. And has provided me with a diverse skill set to promote progress for individuals and teams alike.
That combined with nearly 13 years of total coaching experience in working with all levels of competition makes me a flexible coach that has been successful in many different markets and situations.

Below you will find a list of notable organisations I worked with

KNVB (Dutch Football Association)

Coaching the national team for the eFIFA x Rocket League world championship hosted in Riyadh.
This was a very experienced team and with the brief timeframe we were presented with a challenge. But despite that we managed to get 2nd in our group stage behind the eventual winners of the event.
In the playoffs we fell short to a very experienced Morrocan team in the Quarter finals

R8 esports

I have worked with the R8 team during Q2 of 2024
Attending 2 Saudi leagues and competing for Major 2 in RLCS
During my 4 months with the team rose to a top 20 position in the worldwide ranking according to the RLStats page and a top 4 in RLCS Mena rankings.

Endpoint

I worked with Endpoint between August '23 and January '24
Coaching their Endpoint UV team to a top 4 worldwide spot for the WCB league
For both the Radiant and Worlds final of the WCB I got to attend their bootcamp/HQ in Sheffield

Twisted Minds

Twisted Minds brought me in as a coach after a disappointing start of their RLCS season.
Leading them to a Regional final and multiple top 4 finishes they were able to claim a spot as a top 3 team in the region.

F16 esports

F16 brought me in to coach a very inexperienced team for Gamers8.
With my debut international performance we swept a very experienced SMPR esports and beat the number 1 favorites for the tournament in Faze Esports.
Only losing to the eventual winners in the upper rounds.

AV Sparta (Track and field club)

Together with another coach we set up schedules and divided the grounds for the other coaches and trainers.
Working with youth groups and senior groups alike I set up training schedules, actively led coaching and training sessions and helped the development of various competition groups for all



Who would benefit the most?
Individuals or organisations with large ambitions are the intended audience for my coaching.
I am looking to partake in larger projects that allow me to create an environment that stimulates growth within the team and permits individuals to show their impact to the fullest.

My coaching style

  • Clear communication: I prioritise honest, direct and constructive feedback. Using tools to provide feedback directly without offending. I am however a fan of being able to laugh about things and keep the mood light whilst maintaining a serious practice environment.
  • Commitment to results: My coaching is not a quick fix, but instead a partnership that accelerates growth and progress. Ambition, grit, and a willingness to put in the effort are essential.
  • Creativity as a tool: I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Rather focussing on adapting based on the situation at hand. I’m willing to invest time into creating the tools or set up the frameworks that will bring the progress you seek.

    My mission?

Personally I have given myself a mission to improve the level of coaching and the way it is perceived in esports. I am convinced too many people do not understand the impact a good coach can have on your progress but also your individual drive and mental status. To do this I believe in "Action, evaluation, revision" Improve through work. Every day I try and find something I improve on myself. And for that reason I will always look for feedback.

What else?

So other than my coaching I keep busy by doing a lot of content. I really enjoy streaming and have been putting a lot of time into my YouTube and other video channels as well lately! This website and store are part of a larger effort to reach my goals and give back some incredible products for all the support!
